HORT was commissioned to visually represent The Windows Marburg virus,  which infects .exe and .scr files. Marburg got widespread circulation in August 1998, when it was included on the master CD of the popular MGM/EA game Wargames. When the infected application is launched, three months after initial infection the virus displays the Windows critical error icon all over the screen, making it look like it’s covered with measles. Part of The Computer Virus Catalog founded & curated by Bas van de Poel.
